3 WAYS TO MAKE YOUR RESOLUTIONS STICK

I love New Years Resolutions.

I like any excuse to dream and plan and this time of year is one of my faves.

I’ve gotten pretty good at making changes over the years, but I’ve also had a lot of failed attempts too.

When I look back to see what I had done to make certain changes stick or make others fizzle, I noticed that I was or wasn’t doing 1 or all of these 3 things.

I tell you all about them over my morning coffee in the video below.

(yes I just woke up when I recorded these tips. that’s how bad I wanted to teach you how to make your resolutions stick, don’t judge.)

Recap:

#1 Be a gentle weaner.

#2 Focus on what you’re gaining, NOT what your losing.

#3 Make it about the feeling.

And you may want to check THIS out if you want to incorporate affirmations.

Thanks for watching and if you know someone who would benefit from this vid, by all means SHARE.

And don’t forget to chime in with your resolutions & what’s worked for you below!

XO,

KNOW SOMEONE WHO WOULD BE INTO THIS?

Great video for a New Year! That darn reptilian part of my brain has kept me fearful long enough…no more! 2015 is all about growth and weaning into it will be my way to do it!

It’s taken me YEARS to realize that fast fixes just don’t work and that I need to focus on the long game. Going slow makes so much more sense and the results just might stick. Thanks, Susan!

Ok! Great! I did charge 90 bucks to a credit card on clothes and I did say to myself “I am grateful for the money flowing into my life” instead of focusing on feeling guilty over using the cc. Then I declared I wouldn’t charge clothes to my cc in 2015 (trying to pay them off) but that it is ok to do it less often instead of quoting cold turkey… Sounded like a great excuse to me at the time… But I’m glad to know I’m on the right track and I’m being a gentle wiener (did I spell that right?) 🙂

    Happy new year!

Ha you are! Also telling yourself ourselves we CANT do something usually creates rebellion or makes us feel guilty if we slip up. Sounds like you have a smart plan in place. Wish there was a gentle weaner emoticon!
